No doubt you are interested in what qualifies me to write a book about using business basics for the Internet so I will be happy to provide some answers. I am an accountant with over 40 years experience in business and this book is about applying basic business principles to business on the Internet. In spite of the hype and promises the Internet has not changed basic business principles. It has lead to many forgetting them so they are making unsustainable promises and that is something my book addresses. In addition I have had over 12 years experience on the Internet researching and participating in a wide range of business opportunities. This experience and background has enabled me, over the years, to learn how to identify the probable failures, how to separate hype and dreams from reality and how to avoid most of those things, including scams, that will only end up costing money, time and heartache. This learning process cost me, over time, in excess of $20,000 and left me with high stress levels, disappointments, frustrations and disillusionment. There was a time when I thought the failures I was experiencing were due to some serious failing on my part. I suppose they were my fault really. I was failing to learn from my experiences and apply that knowledge to what I was trying to do.
